Video: Saudi denies rumours of plane landing on highway

The Saudi authorities have denied the rumors on social media.

A video of a plane landing on a highway has been doing the rounds on social media in Saudi Arabia.
Social media users allege that the plane landed on Jeddah-Makkah highway. 
In the video, we can see the plane struggling to take control as a sandstorm hits Jeddah and visibility is at an all-time low. As the plane tires to land on the highway, vehicles can be seen passing by on the busy street.
After the video went viral, Saudi authorities came ahead to deny the rumors on social media. Arab News carried Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation's take denying the accuracy of the video. The body said the video was filmed at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport on September 2015 amidst a sandstorm.
