Video: Massive thunderstorm blankets Saudi with hail 1-metre deep

Taif - People were locked in their homes from the storm's intensity.

Saudi Arabia saw a massive hail storm on Thursday, with over 300 square metres of solid ice blanketing the streets of northern Taif.

This happened after heavy thunderstorms hit the region on Wednesday.
The civil defence dispatched 55 vehicles to help remove hail and accumulated rainfall from the streets. 
People were unable to leave their homes from the intensity of the precipitation.

Even the vehicles were locked in by the incredible amount of hail that fell on the roads.
