Student stops school bus after driver dies due to heart attack

The prompt action of the student saved everyone on board.

A student in Saudi Arabia was able to control and stop a school bus after its driver died of a heart attack.

While driving after the end of school day on Monday in Tayma governorate in Saudi Arabia, the driver had a sudden heart attack, following which a student, named Nahar Al Anzi, took control of the bus and was able to stop it. No one was injured.

Local media reported that the student's presence of mind saved all the other students.

In the picture, the bus can be seen with minor damage on its side due to the incident.


The director of the education office in Tayma called the students to ensure their safety and praised the student's efforts to stop the bus.

The director extended his condolences to the family of bus driver Motaab Al Anzi.
