Saudi Arabia supports the establishment of a Palestinian state, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Foreign Minister, said in a statement on Wednesday.
Saudi Gazette and other local media said this was based on the borders before the 1967 Middle East war, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Prince Faisal told an Arab League meeting on Wednesday that the Kingdom supports all efforts to reach a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
But the statement released by the Saudi foreign ministry said the foreign minister did not directly mention the normalisation of relations between the UAE and Israel, which was agreed on August 13.
The UAE-Israel accord was the first such agreement between an Arab country and Israel in more than 20 years.
