A Pakistani convict was executed in Saudi Arabia for smuggling drugs into the country, Spa reported on Monday.
The Saudi ministry of Interior announced that a Pakistani man was executed after the criminal court found him guilty of smuggling heroin inside Saudi Arabia.
Spa added that the investigation revealed Jehan Khayal Mat Khan was caught smuggling illegal drugs - and the appeals court upheld the decision of his execution.
The authorities carried out the court's decision on Monday in Jeddah.
The ministry emphasised that the government is combating drugs smuggling.
Smuggling drugs is punishable by death in the Kingdom.
