A technical snag forced a Hyderabad- bound Air India flight, which took off from Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, to return to the airport, reports Saudi Gazette.
The passengers of Air India flight AI-966 had to sit through a delay on the night of Saturday. The indirect flight was en route to Hyderabad before flying to Mumbai, the report added.
After the flight took off on Sunday, it had to return to the airport within an hour in mid-flight due to a technical snag.
The passengers were shifted to various hotels in the city on Sunday morning and Air India is working to repair the snag and make arrangements to send the passengers to India.
An official from Air India confirmed about the technical snag in the flight. All the passengers on board the aircraft were safe, he said.
