Eight members of a "terrorist" cell were killed on Saturday in a police raid in Saudi Arabia's eastern Qatif region, the Presidency of State Security announced on Saturday.
The recently-formed cell was preparing to carry out "terrorist" activities against the security of the country, according to a statement of the spokesman of the Presidency.

In a pre-emptive security operation, the forces cordoned off the area and ordered the terror suspects to surrender.

Ignoring the warning, they started firing at the security forces.

In the exchange of fire, all the eight members of the cell were killed. No civilians or security forces were injured in the operation, he added.
