Saudi intercepts missile launched by Houthi militias

Riyadh - It aimed to target areas populated by civilians.

Saudi Arabia's air defenses on Friday intercepted another a ballistic missile launched in the direction of Jazan by Houthi militias, coalition battling them in neighboring Yemen has said.
According to the Arab News, Coalition spokesman Turki Al-Maliki said that the missile was fired towards Jazan in Saudi Arabia and aimed to target areas populated by civilians.
Al-Maliki blamed the attack on "militiamen and terrorists, vassals of Iran" who try to "threaten the security of Saudi Arabia, the region and the world."
