An 8 year-year-old Somalian child died on Tuesday after being electrocuted by an electric shock in a flooded neighborhood in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Heavy rains lashed the city this week and paralysed daily life. School and colleges remained closed in the capital due to heavy rains and flooding. 
According to a story on Al Arabiya, security bodies stated that the incident occurred in Al-Sahifa neighborhood.  The case is currently under investigation to find the cause of death.

The spokesperson of Red Crescent Authority in Jeddah, Abdullah Ahmed Abu Zeid said that seven incidents of electric shocks were reported and two of them resulted in death. 
He added that the authority received 118 different reports including one for building collapse.  
Three people died in flash floods triggered by heavy rains that swept through Jeddah. Following which, the authorities decided to shut schools and universities.
