Early in November, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed had ordered for Al Meqbali's treatment "in any place in the world", after the artist posted a video in which he broke down, while his illness made him stay in the Canadian Hospital in Dubai.

Al Meqbali had expressed his profound happiness over the order and hoped it would cure him.
