An Air India flight from Bangalore to Dubai was diverted to Oman due to a technical snag in the aircraft's engine.
"The Bangalore - Goa - Dubai flight, was forced to land in Muscat on Saturday after it developed some engine problems," the Times of Oman quoted a senior official as saying.
Passengers took to social media to report the incident.
"AI 993 Bangalore - Dubai flight, 3 hours stranded at Muscat airport. Please help, lot of passengers in trouble. Air India manager not coming and talking to us," a passenger tweeted.
