Air India flight to Dubai diverted to Oman after technical glitch

The plane was forced to land in Muscat after it developed engine problems.

An Air India flight from Bangalore to Dubai was diverted to Oman due to a technical snag in the aircraft's engine.
"The Bangalore - Goa - Dubai flight, was forced to land in Muscat on Saturday after it developed some engine problems," the Times of Oman quoted a senior official as saying.
Passengers took to social media to report the incident.
"AI 993 Bangalore - Dubai flight, 3 hours stranded at Muscat airport. Please help, lot of passengers in trouble. Air India manager not coming and talking to us," a passenger tweeted.
