The UAE today celebrated the participation of its brave sons in the Arab Coalition Forces in Yemen.
The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses, Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, Their Highnesses the Crown Princes, and the Deputies of the Rulers.

The event, organised by the UAE Armed Forces at the Zayed Military City in Abu Dhabi, was attended by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman; His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council  and Ruler of Fujairah; His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, and His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
"Our valiant armed forces will always remain the protective shield of our state, and the firm guarantee of its pride among nations, and the force that does not hesitate to stand with all force alongside everyone who is righteous in the face of injustice and aggression. 
Our brave soldiers who participated in the "Operation Restoring Hope" in Yemen made the ultimate sacrifices alongside their brothers in the Arab Coalition Forces and assured the world that the UAE's contribution will always ensure the security and stability of the region," Sheikh Mohammed said.
He then paid tribute to the heroes of the armed forces who presented the finest examples of giving in the fields of dignity for their sacrifices, to establish the foundations of justice, as well as their efforts in the field of humanitarian work and reconstruction
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said, "We are proud of the loyal sons of the UAE who have proven their heroism, courage and determination in carrying out their national and humanitarian duties in Yemen."
"The people of the homeland, as we have pledged to them, expressed the authentic nature of the Emirati people and the entrenched values cultivated by the first founders of this land, to stand alongside the right and justice, support the oppressed, and extend a helping hand to all in need of assistance," he added.
Sheikh Mohamed added that the UAE will continue to cultivate goodness, open the doors of hope, and provide aid, humanitarian and development assistance throughout Yemen.
"On this occasion, we remember with great respect and appreciation the righteous martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the field of truth and duty, for the glory of their country and raise its flag. Their memory will remain immortal in our conscience," he added.
"We are advocates of peace, goodness and love, but at the same time we have determination and resolve when it comes to threats to our security or the security of our brothers," he added, while noting the historic role of the UAE within the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia in maintaining security and stability in the region, especially in Yemen.
"The people of the UAE have been the best supporters of their valiant armed forces in their noble mission in Yemen, and presented a wonderful image of patriotism, solidarity and awareness. This is not strange for this authentic people, who always support their leadership and armed forces," he affirmed.
"Our armed forces have always been and will be a force of peace and stability in the region and the world, and the UAE is a country that makes peace and sows goodness and hope wherever it goes," Sheikh Mohamed further said.
In attendance were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance; Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain; Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, and Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC.
Among those who also attended the celebration were a number of Sheikhs; ministers and officials.
