Lured by massive discounts of up to 80 per cent on a wide range of products, thousands of shoppers flocked to Sharjah Expo Centre on Thursday evening for the 42nd edition of the 'Ramadan Nights' exhibition.
From branded luxury clothing and footwear to perfumes, accessories, abayas, homeware, and kitchenware, shoppers were spoilt for choice with prices starting as low as Dh5.
Aisha Hammad, a mother of two, came along with her sister's friends to look out for what is on offer in this edition. “We just came here to attend the inauguration, and casually window shop. But we ended up spending about Dh300,” said Hammad.

Hammad and her sister stocked up trolleys to its full capacity, and they were surprised to find luxury goods at discounted prices. “I came here expecting good deals, but I didn’t think I would find luxury items at such affordable prices,” said Hammad.
“I have bought abayas, perfumes, and even home decor items, all at a fraction of their original cost. It’s a shopper’s paradise,” added Hammad.
The exhibition, which runs until March 30, is part of the 35th edition of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival and features over 200 exhibitors and more than 500 international and local brands. Many shoppers were seen filling their carts to the brim, taking advantage of the festive atmosphere and unbeatable prices.
“This is my first time visiting the exhibition, and I am amazed by the variety of products and activities,” said Ahmed Khan, a resident of Al Majaz 3 in Sharjah, who would always see the advertisement banner of the festival while returning from his office.
“I remembered the date of inauguration and asked my family to come along. It’s not just about shopping. It’s a complete cultural experience. My kids are enjoying the kids corner. We will be returning soon for shopping as we have planned a vacation after Ramadan,” added Khan.
This edition, the Iftar Corner is one of the exhibition’s highlights, offering a diverse selection of local and international dishes. In addition to shopping, the exhibition offers various cultural and entertainment activities, including heritage-themed programmes, interactive competitions, and a dedicated heritage village, showcasing traditional products, folk-art performances, and authentic Emirati and Ramadan delicacies, providing visitors with a glimpse into the UAE’s culture.
Open daily from 5pm to 1am, the ‘Ramadan Nights’ exhibition draws shoppers eager to take advantage of promotional offers and significant discounts.
The exhibition, organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), has become a staple of the holy month, attracting over 150,000 visitors annually. This year’s edition aligns with the ‘Year of Community,’ celebrating the UAE’s rich cultural heritage while fostering family bonds and community spirit.
