Saudi Arabia has announced the visiting hours for Rawdah (Riyazul Jannah) in the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Rawdah, which in Arabic translates to 'the garden', or the Riyazul Jannah (Gardens of Paradise) refers to the area between the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his minbar, which is a raised pulpit in a mosque, located to the right of the mihrab, where the imam stands to deliver sermons, particularly on Fridays.
It is a place of immense spiritual and historical significance, and contains six pillars which stand on the exact places where the original columns, made from date palm trunks, stood during the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
