Dubai is embracing the spirit of community and celebration this Ramadan with a new initiative. In a bid to encourage residents to spread festive cheer, the city has announced a special competition to reward the most beautifully decorated homes.

With a total prize pool of Dh200,000 in cash, along with coveted Umrah tickets, participants have the chance to make the most of this season. Brand Dubai and Ferjan Dubai unveiled the new competition on Sunday, aiming to select the best-decorated homes across the emirate.

The contest, which aligns with the ‘Year of Community’, reinforces cultural heritage, fosters a deeper sense of connection within society, and ensures that traditions are preserved in meaningful ways for current and future generations.

The winner of first place will receive Dh100,000, according to Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Government. Second place will earn Dh60,000, and third place will be awarded Dh40,000. In addition to the top three prizes, seven participants will win Umrah trips for two. Winners will be announced towards the end of the holy month which started on March 1.

Guidelines

  • The competition is open to Dubai residents only.

  • Home facades are decorated with lights and other decorations. The #RamadanInDubai logo can be incorporated into the decorations.

  • A creative video of decorations should be filmed by participants while reflecting the theme of the ‘Year of Community’.

  • Contestants should post the video as an Instagram Reel on their public Instagram account.

  • Tag @branddubai and @ferjan.dubai in the Instagram Reel post.
The official hashtag #Dubai’s_Best_Decorated_Ramadan_Homes_2025 should be included in the post.

  • Deadline for submissions is March 21.

  • A judging panel will evaluate the most visually striking and innovative submissions.

  • To ensure fair representation and encourage widespread participation in the contest, no two winners will be from the same Dubai neighbourhood.

More than a festive gesture
