Emirati duo brings happiness to 1,500 needy people

Ras Al Khaimah - The kind gesture is in line with the initiative of the UAE prudent leadership to adopt any drive that brings and spreads happiness among all segments of the society.

 
Two Emirati nationals, Mahra Mohammed bin Sarai and Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, have decided to bring happiness to 1,500 orphans, patients, and widows in Ras Al Khaimah.
The kind gesture is in line with the initiative of the UAE prudent leadership to adopt any drive that brings and spreads happiness among all segments of the society, particularly the vulnerable ones.
Bin Sara said she was excited to launch a massive Iftar for targeted people in cooperation with Al Shamsi under an initiative billed 'Your Happiness'.
"We have also run a 'Happiness Exhibition' to provide Eid clothes to the kids of eligible families at the RAK Mall."
"The drive has been carried out in collaboration with 60 shops in Ras Al Khaimah, along with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, customer happiness centre in RAK, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Department of Public Services, and other charity entities and schools." 
Al Shamsi said the drive consists of two parts. "Free Iftar meals were distributed to targeted segments under the first part, while new clothes were contributed under the second part to young kids of poor families."
The initiative has been assumed by a group of volunteers named 'Smile Volunteers', he added. 
"The team, including male and female volunteers from different nationalities, is all set to put a smile on the faces of vulnerable people, mainly patient and orphan children, and widows in of the holy month of Ramadan and the Year of Zayed." 
The drive also included a number of medical check-ups for the patient and orphan children and their families, he explained. "All beneficiaries have had their blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, height, and body mass measure, and also have had their teeth examined."
