Dubai - Dubai Municipality offers practical tips to stay fit.

Exercising during Ramadan can be quite challenging considering the fasting time and lack of liquids which can lead to dehydration or weakness.
However, in order to remain healthy and not feel lethargic during Ramadan, it is necessary to exercise regularly and keep in mind important factors to not feel tired or thirsty post exercising.
The Dubai Municipality shared a few workout tips in an Instagram post, stressing that exercising can actually energise the body depending on the time and type of the physical activity.
In the post, the Dubai Municipality wrote: 'Do you know that exercising during Ramadan may be one of the most important factors that benefit the body and energizes it if you choose the right time and type of sport'
Tips for exercising during Ramadan
1. Exercise one to 1.5 hours before Iftar or two hours after Iftar.


2. Stay away from foods high in fat or sugar.
3. Drink enough fluids between Suhoor and Iftar.
4. Choose a well-ventilated place for exercising.
5. Engage in a light to moderate exercise such as walking, jogging, cycling, Swedish aerobics and swimming about three or four hours after Iftar.
