A fire that erupted from a residential building in Al Baraha area on Saturday was the last of the four fires that occurred during the nine-day Eid-break in Dubai. The fire broke out from the first and second storeys of the building at 11.30am. Firefighters from Al Ras and Hamriya civil defence stations rescued three people and contained from the blaze by 12.11pm.
Another major fire erupted from a barrel of flammable materials at a warehouse in Al Quoz early Friday morning. Fire brigades from Dubai Civil Defence stations - Al Quoz, Emirates Martyrs, Al Qusais stations - contained the fire that erupted at 4.38am in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3. The firefighters, who arrived within six minutes, battled the fire and prevented it from spreading to neighbouring areas and the site was under control by 6.47am. Primary investigations revealed that fire erupted from flammable materials stored in barrels and two caravans at the warehouse. No one was injured in the incident.
A minor fire was reported at 12.19pm on Wednesday in an aluminium tent inside a villa in Al Barsha 3 area. The Dubai Civil Defence team from Al Barsha station arrived within two minutes and the fire was contained at 12.32pm.
On Tuesday, a fire broke out from a warehouse used for cutting iron using laser machines in Ras Al Khor Industrial City. Fire brigades from Nad Al Sheba and Al Rashidiya civil defence stations rushed to the site within six minutes. Most of the contents of the repository were burnt but no one was injured.

Accidents in Ramadan

Mahmoud Hamad, media spokesperson of the Dubai Civil Defence, said the authority recorded 22 fire accidents during Ramadan, including 17 minor accidents and three moderate accidents.
Serious accidents include fire that gutted four warehouses and five cars in Khabisi area on May 12. In another accident, a reconnaissance aircraft fell in Al Warqaa area on May 16 killing four people. A moderate fire erupted in a cargo ship at Port Rashid on May 13 while another fire accident was reported at a construction site on May 23 which gutted offices and five caravans.
