In cooperation with the Districts & Villages Affairs Department in the smiling emirate, Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department announced the launch of a special campaign to update landowners’ data in the real estate sector in the various regions and areas of the emirate, starting from March 28th until May 29th.

The campaign targets all real estate owners in the emirate, including citizens, residents, and investors of various nationalities. It aims to preserve the rights of owners, and to update their data, especially with the presence of old data that has not been updated for a long time. Additionally, it seeks to solve the problem of similarity in names which may delay some transactions. Therefore, and as a solution, owners’ names will be linked with their ID number to avoid any names’ similarities, to facilitate the procedures for the department’s customers, and to ensure the rights of all landowners and workers in the real estate sector in Sharjah.

Furthermore, this campaign will take place in the suburban councils in each district on the dates and times announced on the department’s website (www.shjrerd.gov.ae), and in its social media. All owners must attend the suburb council headquarters, according to the date specified for each suburb, and bring the Original Title Docu-ments, map, and Emirates ID, as the data will be updated, and the original papers will be returned to its owner.

Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, director-general of Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, praised “the great cooperation shown by the Districts & Villages Affairs Department in the emirate, represented by its Chairman Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, and all the employees for supporting the idea, harnessing all the capabilities of the department, and opening the doors of the subur-ban councils in various regions to receive the landowners, in order to achieve a suc-cessful campaign”.

In addition, Al Shamsi stressed that “the Districts & Villages Affairs Department was and still an important strategic partner in implementing many joint projects. As we have worked together in the spirit of one team, which had the greatest impact in achieving the strategic goals set by the department, and it gave an additional momentum to the Real Estate sector in the emirate”.

Meanwhile, Humaid Al Abbar, Adviser to the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, said the department is constantly seeking to update its data in accordance with the latest international methods, to ensure the rights of real estate owners in the emirate, and to facilitate the management of their properties.

Furthermore, Al Abbar urged “all real estate owners in the emirate to cooperate with the campaign that aims to preserve their rights in the first place, by heading to the suburbs councils at the specified time for each region and bringing the required doc-uments and papers”.

In addition, he assured that “the updating process is complete-ly free of charge, and it will only take a few minutes of their time, as the process will be carried out easily, smoothly, and without complications in order to serve the own-ers and preserve their rights from loss”.

The campaign will include all the councils of the emirate. The department’s employees will be present in Wasit Suburb Council from March 28th until April 3rd, while they will be in the Al Bustan Suburb Council — Al Dhaid, Hayawa — Khor Fakkan Suburb Council, Subaihiya — Khor Fakkan Suburb Council, and Dibba Al Hisn City Council during the extended period From March 28th until April 10th.
