According to a report in the Times of Oman, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Friday, February 28, announced the suspension of the card. The card has been suspended for travel for the Omani citizens and nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.-KT file photo

“The Royal Oman Police (ROP), draws the attention of the Omani citizens and the citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (GCC) that the use of the civil card to travel to and from the Sultanate will be suspended for the Omanis and GCC nationals”, said the authority on its official Twitter account.-KT file photo

The exception is for Omanis who are abroad if their exit is from the Sultanate with a civil ID, and citizens of GCC countries are currently inside the Sultanate, and they wish to return to their countries, if their entry is with their civil ID card, the statement added.-Picture retrieved from Twitter
