Visitors to get new free facility at Dubai's Quranic Park

The Dubai Municipality has also launched the Quranic Park App, a smart application to enhance the visitors’ experience and access to multiple services. The app is a platform that offers the Smart Guide service, which depends on Google Map, and guides the visitors through the facilities inside the park.

Once the visitor downloads the app and selects the language from the eight languages available (Arabic, English, Hindi, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian and Italian), the Smart Guide character will pop up and the camera of the smart phone will be open automatically to guide the visitor to the exhibits in the preferred language. The Smart Guide character that wears Emirati attire and speaks eight languages is yet to be named.

Since its opening in April 2019 till end of the year, the Quranic Park has been visited by more than one million people, making it one of the most attractive parks for tourists in the region and in the first 15 days of 2020, the number of visitors has reached more than 50,000.

The Quranic Park, located in Al Khawaneej area, is the first major free park for visitors in Dubai as there is no entrance fee. A nominal amount of Dh10 each is charged using Nol Card for those who wish to visit the Cave of Miracles and the Glass House inside the park.

The park consists of 12 gardens containing 45 types of plants mentioned in the Holy Quran and Sunnah, including bananas, pomegranates, olives, melons, grapes, figs, garlic, leeks, onions, corn, lentils, wheat, fennel seeds, ginger, tamarind, basil, pumpkins, cucumbers, etc.
