The Quranic Park has started offering the visitors free one-time use headphones to provide English and Urdu translations of the descriptions about the Miracle Cave in the park. The translation facility has been set up in response to the demands of the visitors. The headphones are now available at the entrance of the cave.
The Dubai Municipality has also launched the Quranic Park App, a smart application to enhance the visitorsí experience and access to multiple services. The app is a platform that offers the Smart Guide service, which depends on Google Map, and guides the visitors through the facilities inside the park.
Once the visitor downloads the app and selects the language from the eight languages available (Arabic, English, Hindi, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian and Italian), the Smart Guide character will pop up and the camera of the smart phone will be open automatically to guide the visitor to the exhibits in the preferred language. The Smart Guide character that wears Emirati attire and speaks eight languages is yet to be named.
The Smart Guide gives information about the exhibits as per the visitorís choice, in addition to the facilities such as the directions to the mosque, toilets and the administrative office. The app also helps the visitor by saving the location after parking the car, which helps to find it easily on return.
It gives a brief description about the park, its attractions and facilities, park map and the parking spots. The app also helps the visitor to learn and understand more about the scientific facts of the plants mentioned in the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
The Dubai Municipality has also started conducting attractive events in the parking area of the park. Since its opening in April 2019 till end of the year, the Quranic Park has been visited by more than one million people, making it one of the most attractive parks for tourists in the region and in the first 15 days of 2020, the number of visitors has reached more than 50,000.
The Quranic Park, located in Al Khawaneej area, is the first major free park for visitors in Dubai as there is no entrance fee. A nominal amount of Dh10 each is charged using Nol Card for those who wish to visit the Cave of Miracles and the Glass House inside the park.
