A component that features the names and signatures of Their Highnesses the UAE Rulers and Crown Princes has been installed on the country's Mars probe. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, witnessed the installation of the final component on which an inscription reads: "The power of hope shortens the distance between the earth and the sky." The probe, which forms the core of the Emirates Mars Mission, will be launched in July this year. It is expected to reach the Red Planet in the first quarter of 2021, which will mark the golden jubilee of the emirates' union in 1971.

Hamdan hails youth: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, said exploring Mars has become a reality thanks to the determined efforts of a group of youth who dedicated their time and efforts to serve humanity. Sheikh Hamdan, who is also the Chairman of the MBRSC and General Supervisor of the Hope Probe, said these youths are a source of pride for the Arab world. “Reaching Mars is not impossible for us. The world ‘impossible’ has no place in our dictionary,” Sheikh Hamdan said.
