New Year 2020: These Dubai roads will be closed today
Dubai's RTA shares road closure plans for New Year's Eve.
Al Asayel road will be the first road to closed at 4pm.
Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard will close from 4pm.
The Happiness Street, between the two intersections of Al Meydan Street and 2nd Za'abeel Second Street, will be closed at 6:00pm.
The Financial Center Road will close at 6pm.
Al Sokouk Street will close at 8pm.
The water canal elevators and pedestrian bridges will be closed in Jumeirah, Al Safa and Business Bay.
Burj Khalifa/ Dubai Mall Metro Station will be closed from 10pm on Tuesday until 6am the following day.
However, there will be 16,700 parking slots available at Burj Khalifa area.
It would be best if you arrive at the Dubai Mall before 2pm as there may still be some parking slots left at the Cinema parking (this is where we usually park). Alternatively, you can park your car at Zaabeel Park. Then, take a taxi to Downtown Dubai or hop on to any of the free shuttle buses going around.
There are usually three exits from the Burj Khalifa area: One in front of Burj Khalifa, Business Bay Metro Station, and going towards Dubai Water Canal walkway. Follow the signboards.
Don't park vehicles on the streets around event venue, especially on Sheikh Zayed and Al Khail roads.
Residents who have reservations in the Boulevard area and the Dubai Mall are advised to arrive before 4pm.
Authorities urged all residents to abide by the instructions of the security staff, celebrate responsibly and cooperate with security officers for their own safety.
