New radars to detect rash driving in Dubai
Dubai - It is connected to the police's violations processing platform and radar management system through a (4G)-enabled network.
Brigadier Saif Muheir Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Traffic Department, said the smart device is capable of "identifying the status and behaviour of drivers" on the road.
The radar is powered by artificial intelligence and can be programmed to detect any violations, the police said. It is connected to the police's violations processing platform and radar management system through a (4G)-enabled network.
"The new device, developed by the Dubai Police in collaboration with a tech company, underwent several modifications and experiments until it proved worthy of the monitoring process," Brig. Al Mazrouei said.
