Here's what we'll be up to over the next few days.
Shop 'til you drop
This year, the Dubai Summer Surprises fun will start as soon as the malls open their doors today with the 12-Hour Sale running from 10am until 10pm at Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) malls across Dubai. Scoop up savings of 25 per cent to 90 per cent on a wide range of products, and if you spend Dhs300, you'll be entered into the 12 Hour Share Millionaire raffle with a grand lucky draw for 1 million Share Points to spend in MAF malls. DSS Daily Surprises also return this year with a huge selection of one-day-only deals at big name stores across the city's malls. Announced 24 hours in advance and available for just one day at a time (and while stocks last), for the first time this year, retailers will run the offer at two different locations on the same day for the safety of shoppers.
X marks the spot
It’s one of the most exhilarating experiences Dubai has to offer and it is now reopen. Xstrike, located in the heart of Al Qouz, is a live combat simulation that successfully bridges the gap between traditional paintball and laser-tag and is now back with bigger and better fields that closely mimic Hollywood style movie sets including the authentic military-themed Base Camp, a mystical “Post-Apocalyptic City” and an “Abandoned Subway”. Prices start from Dhs89.
Theme park life
One of the largest indoor theme parks in the world is having a re-openeing offer you cannot miss. IMG Worlds of Adventure is back this Friday with a park entry price of Dh20 for UAE residents and pay as you go for all attractions at Dhs25. It is a time to return to see your favourite Marvel and CN heroes and dine at one of the many F&B outlets or shop for unique products from your favourite characters.
Another part of Dubai Summer Surprises, Visitors to Nakheel Mall on the Palm Jumeirah can enjoy spectacular art as you browse the stores. The landmark mall will host inspiring artworks from international talents displayed as part of the DREAMS exhibit, held in conjunction with the Alserkal Cultural Foundation. Each Friday and Saturday throughout DSS, the healthy family favourite Ripe Retail Pop Up will entice shoppers at Nakheel Mall with a selection of locally made products. The Ripe Retail Pop Up will be open from 10am to 7pm every weekend, with items from 15-20 home-grown SME businesses selling everything from fashion, art, jewellery, homeware, food and more.
Despite all that's happened this year, Dubai Sports World is back and ready for you. The UAE's most anticipated sporting event at the World Trade Centre will run until October 3. DWTC has transformed its halls into playing fields - from basketball, tennis and badminton courts to football and cricket pitches, among others, which are open to welcome all of you to play, practice and compete in a secure, safe and comfortable air-conditioned facility.
