Man uses jetpack to fly above Dubai skyline
Sheikh Hamdan shared a video of the marvellous feat.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared a video on his Instagram handle showcasing Dubai's Jetman as it takes off from a platform.
In the short clip, the man lifts off from the ground completely unassisted as he takes flight.
After hovering over the water, he then sets off with the JBR skyline in the backdrop. Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai can also be seen for a brief moment.
He then flies into the sunset and the clip concludes. It is then revealed that this is the result of Jetman Dubai's efforts to pioneer human flight.
Sheikh Hamdan commended the men behind the feat. "A major milestone in the quest to achieve 100% autonomous human flight. Well done boys," he said on Instagram.
