In pictures: New Sharjah Beach readies to welcome residents, tourists
The project has transformed a 3.3-kilometre area along the Sharjah Beach Road into a world-class public space.
The project is part of the strategic plan of the Sharjah Urban Planning Council (SUPC).
The Sharjah Beach Development Project will create a popular tourism and leisure destination by transforming the 3.3-kilometre area along the Sharjah Beach Road.
The SUPC is confident that the development of the beach will boost tourism and increase commercial as well as economic activities in Sharjah.
The total area of the project is 200,000 square meters of public space.
6.5 kilometres of promenade areas are available to the visitors.
There will also be dedicated cultural and entertainment areas, food and beverage outlets, as well as areas for food trucks, shaded lounges and areas for arts for local and international talent to be showcased.
The project will utilise high-quality materials to ensure world-class design and sustainability.
