The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP), in collaboration with the health ministries of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah have issued new guidelines for how people can protect themselves against Novel Coronavirus.
MoHaP advises caution during business meetings with associates visiting from China.
Mass events and gatherings, such as weddings or community events, are another scenario where the Ministry recommends caution.
Universities and schools are considered safe spaces, but students, faculty and parents are advised to follow MoHaPís advice.
Hand hygiene and proper etiquette while sneezing or coughing are to be observed.
Nurses in educational institutions are expected to follow proper procedure in case a student shows respiratory symptoms.
Educational institutionsí management are additionally expected to be thorough with cleaning and disinfection.
The Ministry has also issued guidelines for general cleaning in facilities.
Most cases were linked to the seafood and animal market.
It is not advised to travel while sick.
Instead of shaking hands, just wave to reduce transmission.
Observe proper etiquette while sneezing or coughing.
If you are experiencing symptoms, it is best to stay home.

Stay away from public gatherings to avoid close contact with people.
