UAE National Day: Guide to concerts, discounts in the country

Bollywood thrills: A breath-taking live performance by Indian musical siblings Armaan and Amaal Malik is taking place on Monday in front of the Rajmahal Theatre at Bollywood Parks from 7pm onwards.
At 3.30pm on Monday, Souk Madinat visitors will be welcomed by camels, oud players, falconry and a National Day themed florist display in the fountain. The first of two enthralling performances at the amphitheatre starts at 4pm and includes a 30-man Ayala stick dancing group, a recital of the Spirit of The Union and more. The entire performance and journey will be repeated at 6pm.
Regional icons from the UAE including Balqees, Hussain Al Jassmi, Hamad Al Amri and Eida Al Menhali will perform a series of free-to-attend concerts at La Mer and Global Village. Eida, Balqees and Hussain will be at La Mer from 9pm on Friday, Sunday and Monday respectively. Hamad will be at Global Village on Monday from 9pm.

Watch firework spectacles on December 1 and 2 at La Mer (8.30pm), Al Seef (9pm) and The Beach (9pm) and on December 2 at The Pointe (8pm) and Global Village (9pm).
Dubai Festival City Mall will join major landmarks in Dubai on Monday night to celebrate by projecting an all-new IMAGINE National Day show and two spectacular fireworks displays. The mall is kicking off a National Day experience called ‘Faces of the Nation’ where you can snap pictures for a chance to be personally featured in a special IMAGINE National Day show paying homage to the ‘Year of Tolerance’. Then at 8pm and 10pm fireworks will light the sky.
Jumeirah Beach Residence will shine the spotlight on the UAE’s heritage. A traditional calligrapher penning your names on take-home scrolls and a falconer offers passers-by a memorable photo opportunity with a striking falcon – the country’s national emblem. Starting from 6.30pm on Monday, UAE National Day activities on The Walk at JBR are free of charge.
Art From The Heart, a unique gallery space event is going on at WTC Abu Dhabi. The event will feature daily live artist demonstrations, an interactive digital graffiti wall and non-stop locally inspired entertainment from 6pm until 9pm. Emerging Emirati artists are set to collaborate, paint live as they join in creativity for National Day themed displays across six large WTC letter block installations.
Umm Al Emarat Park has a line-up of activities themed around the most iconic cultural elements from the seven emirates on December 2-3. Embark on a journey from emirate to emirate and enjoy food, stories, culture and fun-filled activities to celebrate the diverse and multifaceted culture of the UAE. There will be falconry, henna, traditional dukkans, and Ayala performances in addition to balloon shows, stilt walkers, face painting and kite flying. Check out ‘Ras Al Khaimah’ and have a look at the bungee jumping and rock climbing; or for the more relaxed adventurer, go fishing or pearl hunting in ‘Umm Al Quwain’.
