From live shows to a new night brunch, here's how you can keep yourself busy this weekend.
Catch shows in Mirdif: Dora the Explorer, Paw Patrolís Marshall and Chase, and the genie sisters Shimmer and Shine will band together to bring a piece of the Nickelodeon world to City Centre Mirdif during the Nickelodeon Rocks show this weekend. Join in the sing-alongs and dance parties at 4pm, 6.15pm, and 8pm.
Sharjah Fringe Festival: Sharjah Fringe is kicking-off today at Al Noor Island. The 17-day art and entertainment extravaganza will include theatre, music, puppetry, magic, dance and interactive street shows. The festival will bring Irelandís Fidget Feet Dance Companyís Hatch - an aerial dance performance staged amongst the trees on the island - Maxwell the Bubbleologist and illusion show Hocus Pocus, which will include mentalism and mind reading routines and much more. Tickets to Al Noor Island will be the same price as they are year-round, and can be bought at the entrance.
Lewis Capaldi in Sharjah for you: Lewis Capaldi is making his UAE debut at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah tomorrow, with international hits that include Someone You Loved which has clocked 75 million hits on YouTube. Doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 9pm.
Shamma Hamdan: Bespoke buys, avant-garde fashion, on-trend food trucks and handcrafted jewellery in an alfresco festival setting with the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa; Swyp Market Outside The Box at Burj Park is back from today and Shamma Hamdan, the first Emirati woman to make it to the finals of the hit reality show Arabs Got Talent, will take to the eventís stage for a free concert this evening.
New night brunch: Popular Latin American hotspot, Malecon, Dubai Marine Resort Beach & Spa, is bringing a five-course menu, live Latin entertainment and a stuffed pinata filled with prizes and discounts that will have you going loco at this new night brunch from 8pm this evening.

Takkat Ė The Arabic folklore band - will perform for the first time in the UAE tonight and tomorrow at 7.30pm in the Zeal Entertainment Centre and the main atrium of the mall. Itís free to attend.
Thai fest: You donít have to go all the way to Bangkok to discover Thailand. Umm Al Emarat Park is hosting a two-day cultural Thai Festival on January 17 and 18. The festival will showcase different aspects of Thai culture and traditions. Catch cooking workshops, Muay Thai boxing and more from 10am to 10pm.
