Al fresco deal
Tonight Reform Social & Grill will open their outdoor terrace once again. Firing up the BBQ for the winter season, the dog-friendly spot will be celebrating by giving away a bottle of hops with every order of The Reform Burger. The terrace will be open from 5pm to close, Sunday to Thursday and all-day Friday & Saturday.
Paint & Grape
If you’re around JLT, Couqley French Bistro’s next Paint & Grape session is on this Saturday. Recreate the famous ‘Lady with a Fan’ painting by Gustav Klimt under the guidance of an art teacher. It is taking place from 2pm to 5pm for Dh390. The class allows you two beverages and canapés whilst creating your own Art Nouveau masterpiece.
Expect an unparalleled ‘Rhoast’ including all the best British classics every Saturday at Rhodes W1, Grosvenor House. On from 1pm to 9pm, starting from Dh125, take your pick from roast beef, chicken or leg of lamb and a choice of scrumptious sides including Yorkshire pudding and seasonal vegetables topped with lashings of gravy.
Spanish heritage and tradition are being celebrated at Dukes The Palm this weekend with world famous football royalty La Liga hosting the United Arab Emirates' first edition of the Spanish Extravaganza Festival from today with a series of events. Tonight, enjoy a live paella tasting and grilled meat masterclass with award-winning chef David Montero running from 7.30pm to 11pm, in Great British Restaurant. Packages for the evening start from Dh300 per person. Or get involved in the Spanish Extravaganza Brunch on Friday and Saturday. The epicurean feast will transport you to the colourful streets of Barcelona from the dreamy pool and beachside setting of West 14th Steakhouse. A lively affair, with a one-off menu from Spain's most acclaimed Michelin starred chefs and global paella master chefs, it's on at 1pm from Dh275.
How do you want to spend your Saturday afternoon? From 5pm, Alliance Francaise in Oud Metha is screening Madame Hyde starring Isabelle Huppert, Romain Duris and José Garcia. Mrs. Géquil, an eccentric teacher despised by her colleagues and students, gets struck by lightening on a stormy night and faints. When she wakes up, she feels decidedly different. Will she be able to keep the powerful, dangerous Mrs. Hyde contained? The movie will have English subtitles and is free for AF students or Dh35 for non-members.
