Pink Yoga at INSPIRE
It's breast cancer awareness month and here are some of the things you can do and events around town you can attend to support the cause. Why not join a community event that incorporates breast health education and curated yoga classes to empower women to take control of their health? Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and wellness studio INSPIRE are hosting the program on October 28 at 5pm, in outdoor area Zone B of Gate Avenue, DIFC. Certified family physician Dr. Basmah Al Rowaily will talk about common household carcinogens that can lead to cancer. Also, Tina Choueiri Chagoury, a licensed clinical dietician and breast cancer survivor, will be sharing her personal journey. Pink Run by Yas Mall
This one’s for all fitness enthusiasts - here’s your chance to participate in an indoor run and raise awareness of breast cancer. The ‘Yas Mall Pink Run’ on Friday, October 16, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) aims to educate and increase awareness of breast cancer within the community. Pink Bag initiative
Now, by simply washing your sheets and towels you will be raising awareness of breast cancer that afflicts so many around the world every year. Washmen has partnered with Al Jalila Foundation and Brest Friends to launch the Pink Bag Initiative wherein the brand will be donating 5% of every pink homecare bag in order to raise money to support breast cancer research and treatment in the UAE. Order a limited-edition dessert and do your bit for breast cancer awareness! Couqley French Bistro & Bar has partnered with Al Jalila Foundation and Brest Friends to participate in #PINKtober, creating a special dessert, a dome shaped Framboise-speculoos. All proceeds from the raspberry-yogurt mouse on crushed lotus biscuit will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation to support breast cancer research. The dessert will be available for dine in throughout the month of October.
Pink carrot cake for #PINKtober
