'83: The much-awaited cricket drama '83, starring Ranveer Singh, will hit theatres this summer. Ranveer, who essays cricketer Kapil Dev in the film, shared a poster on Instagram on Friday. He captioned the poster: “June 4th 2021!!! In Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam. #thisis83.” The film is based on India’s historic 1983 cricket World Cup win, led by Kapil Dev. '83 will be released in four languages across India on the big screen. Release date: June 4

The original starred Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji in the lead. Directed by Varun V. Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra/Yash Raj Films, the film sees Bunty and Babli return after a spate of robberies bearing their trademark sigil. Release date: April 23

Atrangi Re: Another big film to announce a date is Aanand L. Rai’s Atrangi Re. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles. Atrangi Re went on floors in March 2020, in Varanasi. The team resumed shoot in October post lockdown in Madurai, followed by schedules in Delhi and Agra. Release date: August 6

Based on the true story of a hostage crisis, the film also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh. Written and helmed by debutant director Lakshya Raj Anand, the film stars Abraham as a lone ranger who leads an attack team during a counter operation. Release date: August 13

Bachchan tweeted the first poster of the film, where he seems to be interrogating Emraan while Annu Kapoor and Krystle D'souza look on nervously. "#Chehre se bada koi naqaab nahi hota! Uncover the real #Chehre, much-awaited mystery-thriller, in theatres on 30th April2021," he captioned the poster. The thriller has been helmed by Rumi Jaffery and produced by Anand Pandit.
