Final Summer Surprises weekend
With the seven weeks of super sales and fun-packed activities almost over, DSS presents its eagerly awaited grand finale - the DSS Final Sale! Taking place until Saturday, the mega sale will see an amazing 500 brands slash their prices across a huge range of items at 1,500 stores around town. City Walk is also staging a series of live art events until August 31 as part of the immersive Dubai Canvas activation. Don't miss it.
National Burger Day
Nothing says Thursday quite like the smell of a patty grilled to perfection. If you want to indulge and enjoy a burger of your choice in celebration of National Burger Day, The Rose & Crown Dubai is putting on a promotion. This British-style venue is giving you a chance to tuck into DIY burgers all day long. Chef Nelson has introduced a special menu with a choice of dressings, fillings, sauces, cheeses and sides for you to choose from for Dh49. Look at that pic, like us we’re sure you won’t be able to resist.
Meet the gamers
Tech heads, have a look at this! As part of OPPO’s partnership with Dubai Summer Surprises, a few days of the Gaming Challenge at Mall of the Emirates remain, so head down, meet and play against some of the region’s leading gaming talent such as Ahmed Al Nasheet (@dvlzgame), Amr Nassouhy (@nsoo7y) and Hussain Yousuf Anwar (@h.messi.10).
Home-grown pinsa brand, Pinsanity, is ending its summer offer this weekend. Any pinsa ordered directly through the company’s website will be yours for Dh20. The perfect seasonal meal, pinsa is stone baked in a wood-fired oven with traditional dough ingredients such as wheat, soy, rice flour but fermented for up to 72 hours - making it light and crunchy on the inside and refreshingly fluffy on the outside. Just how the Romans liked it.
