A woman from Nottingham, UK, ordered groceries online but did not expect that she would be charged £930 (Dh4,842) for a single banana.
Bobbie Gordon placed an online order at the UK-based supermarket chain Asda and her total bill was less than £100 (Dh516 approx). However, when her groceries arrived, she was shocked to see that her bill was £930.11 for the one banana she ordered which was priced at 11 pence, according to reports in NDTV.
Gordon posted her ordeal on Twitter on April 17 and told how she was unfairly charged. After all the uproar, a spokesman for Asda apologised, saying it 'slipped up' with the bill. "Whilst our bananas are excellent, even we agree that they are not worth that much and clearly there has been a glitch in our system," Asda joked.

Gordon's tweet amassed hilarious comments on Twitter. One Twitter user wrote: 'I mean, people pay that much for Apple products, why not bananas?'
This is not the first instance that online shopping has gone wrong. In February last year, a man ordered a phone online and when his parcel was delivered he was shocked to find a bar of soap instead.
