A new video has shown water in taps in Saudi Arabia frozen due to the bitter cold wave that has hit the kingdom for the last two weeks.
According to the Saudi Gazette, this cold wave started towards the end of last month, and renowned weather expert Muad Al-Ahmadi named it 'Muqarqaa Al-Baiban'.

"The first wave started last Tuesday, and its the climax was on Wednesday and Thursday, and that ended on Friday, while the second wave, which is the strongest and hardest, began Saturday, and would continue till midweek," he said adding that this will cold wave will be stronger than the past few to hit the kingdom.

Hussain Al Qahtani, spokesman of the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection recently warned that all regions of the Kingdom would be hit by extreme cold waves with a sharp fall in temperature with the northern regions witnessing sub-zero temperatures."
