Video: Man swims under frozen water, gets stuck

His friends sensed the danger and immediately rushed to his rescue.

A man got trapped under ice when he took a dip in the almost frozen water body after he missed an ice hole.
The video shared by Shangaiist on Facebook shows the man stepping inside the icy water and swimming under the iced surface but gets stuck underneath a sheet of ice until his friends come to his rescue. The man's friends quickly break the ice layer and rescue the trapped man gasping for breath, according to NDTV.
The video shows one friend jumping on the ice to crack it while another uses an axe and manages to break the thick layer of ice. Moments later the two friends also fall into the freezing water as the ice layer under their feet gives way.
The video has garnered praises for the two men who saved their friend's life. A Facebook user wrote, "From his friends' reaction, you can tell this is the true friend for life! Bless them."

While another user wrote, "Well done by his mates. They instantly saw the danger and reacted accordingly and averted a tragedy."
