A satellite internet service provider in Salt Lake City, US, is looking for someone willing to shun all electronic devices to 'digitally detox' and receive $1,000 (approx. Dh3,673) in exchange.
Satellite Internet said the randomly selected applicant for the "Digital Detox Challenge" will spend 48 hours living out of an RV at a US national park without any Internet or phone service.
In addition to the $1,000 offer, the applicant will be given a stipend to cover the cost of renting an RV and at the end of the 48-hour period the company will provide an Internet hotspot. The applicant will be able to share details of the experience online.
The contest is open to those over age 25 with a valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the US.
A winner will be announced September 23, reported UPI.
