Excitement builds as actress / former Miss World Megan Young and actor Tom Rodriguez were formally announced to star in the remake of the hit telenovela Marimar. In a press conference, Megan admits to having mixed feelings of excitement, comparing it to her big win at the Miss World competition last 2013.
Expectations are high as both Megan and Tom will be reprising the roles of royal couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.
Marimar is Megan’s first project with GMA and she expects the comparison with Marian Rivera. Tom, on the other hand, comes hot of the heels of his hit TV show My Husband’s Lover. A powerful supporting cast includes Jaclyn Jose, Ricardo Cepeda, Carmi Martin, Jaya, Cris Villanueva, Candy Pangilinan, and Lauren Young. There will also be portrayals by Frank Magalona, Maricris Garcia, and Dion Ignacio.
