MMFF under investigation

Laguna Representative Dan Fernandez on Monday filed a resolution directing the committee on Metro Manila Development to conduct an inquiry into the disqualification of Honor Thy Father from the Best Picture category of the MMFF 2015. Fernandez was one of the actors in the film which was co-produced by actor John Lloyd Cruz.
In a letter to the film's producer, Ronald Stephen Monteverde, MMFF overall chairman Emerson Carlos said the film was disqualified "due to your non-disclosure of your participation to the Cinema One Originals Film Festival as the opening film and after careful and thorough deliberation."
