Weekend weather: Drop in temperature, cloudy days ahead in UAE

Fog and mist caused poor visibility in some parts of the country in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) .

The NCM, in an online statement online, said: "The weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy in general with a slight decrease in temperatures, which are expected to reach highs of 48°C internally and 46°C on the coast."
In Dubai, temperatures are forecast to reach highs of 43°C with lows of 31°C. Abu Dhabi will have highs of 42°C and lows of 29°C, while in Sharjah the temperature is expected to reach up to 43°C with lows of 28°C.
The lowest temperature recorded over the country today morning was 24.8°C in Al Heben Mountain at 6:30am, where mist formed over some western areas.
The maximum humidity would be 75 to 85 per cent across coastal, 60 to 80 per cent in interior regions and between 50 to 70 per cent in the mountains.
Winds reaching speeds of 38kmph are also likely in some areas. Northwesterly winds might blow dust and sand over some exposed areas.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
The NCM, has also released a weather forecast report for the coming days. The prediction is that the weekend will be partly cloudy with significant decrease in temperatures over western area.
