Weather: Rough sea and rain forecast for UAE today

The weather is likely to be cloudy today.

The National Centre of Meteorology, NCM, has warned sea-goers of rough sea in the Arabian Gulf as a result of convective clouds formations associated with rainfall.

"The wind will be moderate and will be southeasterly to northwesterly, with a speed of up to 45 kmph at times," NCM said.

According to the national Met department, the weather forecast for today will be partly cloudy in general. Some clouds will appear over the sea, Islands and northern, eastern areas ,with probability of rainfall.

Temperatures will range from 27C to 32C in the interior regions, 26C to 31C along the coast and 21C to 27C in the mountains.

The maximum humidity would be 65 to 85 per cent across coastal, 60 to 80 per cent in interior regions and between 50 to 70 per cent in the mountains.

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times. The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Oman Sea.
