Light to moderate rain was reported in several parts of the UAE on Thursday morning, according the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
According to the latest tweets by NCM, rains was reported over Abu Dhabi,  Sharjah Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.

Sharing today's forecast, the NCM said the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with chance of rainfall over scattered areas. It will also be windy, causing blowing dust and sad with poor visibility.
The NCM, has warned sea-goers of rough seas in the Arabian Gulf as a result of fresh northwesterly winds.  In a statement issued today, the centre said that wind speeds could reach up to 50 kmph, with wave heights are expected to reach 8 feet offshore until 8 am Friday.
The sea will be slight to rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Gulf of Oman.

There will be a significant drop in temperature beginning December 22. The minimum temperature will average between 13-16 degrees Centigrade in the interior, 16-20 degrees Centigrade along the coast and it will be the coldest in the mountain region, including Jebel Jais, as the mercury drops to single digits between 5-8 degrees Centigrade, according to NCM.
