Dubai - The UAE weather authority had earlier predicted rainfall in the country for Sunday, May 24.

Light to heavy rainfall has hit parts of UAE this afternoon.

The areas of Um Ghafah, Al Faqa, Al Shiwayb, Al Hayer and Kattm Al Shiklah in Al Ain as well as the Dubai-Al Ain road experienced heavy rainfall.
Heavy rain had also hit areas of Al Madam in Sharjah and over the South of Al Wathbah in Abu Dhabi with moderate rain over Lahbab.
The NCM had also issued a warning for drivers, asking them to take precautions in case of lower visibility due to heavy rain. 
A similar warning had also been issued by the Dubai Police, where the authority asked drivers to exercise caution and also leave sufficient distance between vehicles, while driving in the rain.
The National Center of Meteorology in UAE had also forecast the weather to be fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of some convective clouds formation by afternoon eastward and northward, extending to some internal areas.
The weather authority had also predicted rainfall in the country for Sunday, May 24.
