All the emirates, except Abu Dhabi had a share of rain, thunderstorm and clouds on Friday. An official from the weather department said that it will remain cloudy and rainy in the next few days until Tuesday.
Wadis overflowed as Al Taween, Murbeh and Kadfaa in Fujairah received heavy rainfall.
Moderate to heavy rain fell over Hatta, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Al Jazirah Al Hamra and Al Ghail areas in Ras Al Khaimah.
Meanwhile, Al Faya, Mleiha and Khor Fakkan in Sharjah received moderate rain. Temperature in Abu Dhabi dropped with Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain hitting 21.3 degrees. Flooding was also reported in several places across the country.
Siju Chacko, a Sharjah-resident, said the unexpected change in weather was welcome but had stalled weekend plans. "It was a long-planned outing to Maysaloon Park. Anyhow I enjoyed the day indoors with family and banana fritters," Chacko said.
Meanwhile an official from National Centre of Meteorology said that from Friday to Sunday there will be cloud formations over scattered areas.

"The amount of clouds will increase gradually by Tuesday night over islands and northern areas," the official said hinting at rainy days continuing next week.
The wind is set to be generally normal.
