Heavy rain hit parts of UAE on Saturday afternoon. Areas such as Shawkah, Al Manaie, Buraq in Ras Al Khaimah, Wadi Al Ashwani in Fujairah and the Sheikh Khalifa road toward Maleha, Sharjah had been hit by heavy rainfall during the afternoon.

The highest temperature recorded over the country today is 41.6 °C in Sweihan at 1:45pm.
Saturday was forecast to be sunny and partly cloudy day in the UAE, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), but the east of the country could have rain in the afternoon.
Temperatures were also expected to decrease during the day, the weather bureau says, with the mercury hitting a high of 42 degrees in interior areas.
