UAE weather: NCM issues fog alert, warns of low visibility

The relative humidity will increase by the night.

Motorists were urged to take caution as fog covered many parts of the country on Sunday morning, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM)

Fog was reported in several parts of the country, including Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai, Sweihan in Abu Dhabi and over Sheikh Zayed Road close to Dubai Parks and Resorts in the early hours.

Hot, humid weather forecast for today

The weather forecast for today is fair to partly cloudy at times, with a probability of some convective clouds formation eastward by afternoon that may be associated with some rainfall.

It is expected to get humid by night and Monday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a probability of fog or mist formation westward.

The maximum temperature during the day is expected to hover around 44 - 49C along internal areas, 38 - 43C along the coast and 35 - 39C in the mountains.??The maximum humidity would be 65 to 85 per cent across coastal, 50 to 75 per cent in interior regions and between 40 to 65 per cent in the mountains.

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, today. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
