UAE motorists have been warned to be extra careful on the road on Saturday, as the formation of fog and mist over coastal and internal areas could hamper horizontal visibility.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued a weather alert late on Friday night, saying the fog was likely to be particularly bad in western areas of the country, beginning in the early hours of Saturday.
The weather bureau said conditions should have improved by around 8am, however.

After the mist clears, Dubai will enjoy mostly sunny conditions with a moderate breeze.
Temperatures will reach highs of 38 degrees shortly after midday, accompanied by winds of up to 23 kilometres an hour, which could pick up dust.
Abu Dhabi will enjoy a similarly pleasant day of clear skies and light breezes.
It will be slightly cooler in the capital, with temperatures reaching 37 degrees in the afternoon, with lighter winds of around 18kph.
Humidity will intensify by night into Saturday morning.
Night-time temperatures could fall to around 28 degrees in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the night.
