UAE weather: Mercury to hit 48°C on partly cloudy day

Dubai - There could be some rain in parts of the country and winds causing blowing dust and sand.

Friday will be a fair to partly cloudy day in the UAE as a whole, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), with parts of the country possibly witnessing some rain.
Temperatures will reach highs of 48 degrees in interior areas, although Dubai and Abu Dhabi's mercury levels will reach 41 and 42 degrees respectively.
There will be light to moderate south-easterly to north-easterly winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand. 
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Evening temperatures could drop to around 34 degrees in Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the course of Friday night and the early hours of Saturday morning.
