Temperature drops to 4.5°C in UAE, rain likely today

The weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy with a probability of convective clouds formation.

The temperature dipped to as low as 4.5°C at Mebreh Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah on Friday morning, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

Sharing today's forecast the NCM said, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with chance of rainfall over scattered areas. It will also be windy, causing blowing dust and sad with poor visibility.

The NCM has warned sea-goers of rough seas in the Arabian Gulf as a result of fresh northwesterly winds. In a statement issued , the centre said that wind speeds could reach up to 45kmph, with wave heights are expected to reach 7-feet offshore.

The sea will be slight to rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Gulf of Oman.
